Job Summary
Rumson Pharmacy, a trusted independent community retail staple since 1929, is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our close-knit team. We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional healthcare and personalized, friendly service to our local community. In this role, you will work directly alongside our pharmacists to ensure accurate prescription fulfilment and provide top-tier customer service to our long-standing patients.

Key Responsibilities
* Assist the pharmacist in the preparation, packing, and labelling of prescription medications with high accuracy.
* Greet patients warmly, manage the cash register, and handle point-of-sale transactions efficiently.
* Receive and input prescription orders into the pharmacy management software, verifying insurance coverage and processing claims.
* Maintain a clean, organized, and efficiently structured pharmacy department.
* Manage inventory by unpacking shipments, checking for expired medications, stocking shelves, and alerting the pharmacist to low stock levels.
* Answer incoming phone calls professionally, addressing general inquiries and routing clinical questions to the pharmacist.

Qualifications
* High School Diploma or equivalent.
* Registered Pharmacy Technician with the State of New Jersey (or willing to obtain registration before starting).
* Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) designation is highly preferred but not required.
* Previous experience in a retail or independent pharmacy environment is a strong plus.
* Excellent communication and customer service skills with a compassionate, patient-first attitude.
* Strong attention to detail, math skills, and basic computer proficiency.
