Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid certification as a Special Education Teacher, with a strong foundation in mathematics
• Alternatively, Teacher of the Handicapped certification with completed math credits
• Previous experience supporting students with special needs in a school setting is highly valued
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Committed, reliable, and passionate about individualized instruction

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging math instruction tailored to the abilities and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) of students
• Adapt curriculum and utilize a variety of teaching techniques to maximize student success
• Document progress, participate in IEP meetings, and coordinate with specialists, parents, and support staff
• Foster a safe, welcoming, and structured classroom that encourages growth and participation
• Uphold all relevant school policies, regulations, and best practices in special education
