Enrollment Advisor, Founders School - $150,000/year USD
If you're someone who naturally fills a room, never forgets a face, and maintains connections long after the first meeting, this may be for you.
Alpha is reimagining the future of schooling. With AI-powered learning, students finish their core academics in just two hours each day, then dedicate the remainder of their time to developing essential skills: entrepreneurship, critical thinking, communication, and hands-on execution. Families don't select Alpha because of slick advertising. They choose it because they encounter something unavailable anywhere else. This position is designed to deliver that encounter.
Your role will be to cultivate and expand the community that attracts outstanding families to Alpha and empowers them to choose us confidently over every alternative school. You'll lead the relational dimension of admissions—from the initial event a family joins through final enrollment—designing impactful experiences that establish trust well before any commitment is made. You'll coordinate events, forge relationships, personally guide prospective families, and convert accepted students into enrolled ones. This position suits someone with proven community-building experience, who thrives surrounded by people, and who recognizes that relationships underpin important decisions. You'll partner closely with the Director of Admissions, Heads of School, and Admissions Associate, while contributing to the playbook that will drive Alpha's expansion.
If you've created communities people genuinely valued being part of and you're motivated by the chance to help reshape education, we want to hear from you.
What You Will Be Doing
- Plan and deliver high-impact community experiences, including information sessions, parent dinners, campus tours, school fairs, accepted-family gatherings, and partner events.
- Cultivate substantive relationships with prospective families, shepherding them from first contact through application while sustaining consistent, personalized communication.
- Take ownership of enrollment yield for the high school by designing experiences and follow-up approaches that turn accepted families into enrolled families.
- Develop and energize a dynamic community of current parents, prospective families, and ambassadors who amplify Alpha's credibility and referral ecosystem.
- Keep CRM records current and accurate, and work in close coordination with the Admissions Associate and school leadership to deliver a frictionless experience for every family.
What You Won’t Be Doing
- Employing aggressive sales methods or persuading families who aren't the right match.
- Handling application processing, interview coordination, or admissions decision-making.
- Developing marketing strategy or brand positioning independently.
- Supervising a team rather than directly cultivating relationships and facilitating events.
- Operating remotely. Community building requires in-person presence.
Enrollment Advisor Key Responsibilities
Establish a flourishing community that reliably draws exceptional families and transforms accepted students into enrolled students, driving consistent admissions growth for Alpha.
Basic Requirements
- Documented experience building and expanding an in-person community from inception.
- Verified track record planning and executing events from initial concept through post-event follow-up.
- Experience selling to or influencing discerning, high-consideration decision-makers through relationship cultivation rather than transactional selling.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities with capacity to connect genuinely with discerning families.
- Robust organizational capabilities with disciplined CRM management and reliable follow-through.
- Self-motivated, inventive, and at ease establishing processes in unstructured environments.
- Enthusiasm for Alpha's mission and conviction that AI is reshaping education's future.
- Located in New York City or prepared to relocate.
- Authorized to work in the United States
Nice-to-have Requirements
- Background in private school admissions, alumni relations, nonprofit fundraising, hospitality, or experiential event management.
- Existing network within the New York City education or parent communities.
- Active social media or content presence that has resulted in tangible community development.
