The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.

Job Overview:

The Mammography Technologist performs routine and advanced mammography procedures within the scope defined by regulatory and departmental standards.

Qualifications:

Required:

• ARRT Certification in radiography and mammography
• Valid NJ State licensure
• BLS through American Heart Association
• Compliant in maintaining current continuing education credits as required by the FDA/MQSA and ACR

Preferred:

• Previous Mammography experience

Scheduling Requirements:

• Per Diem scheduling
• Day Shift
• Must be willing to cover other JW Breast Center sites as needed.

Essential Functions:

• Performs routine mammography, diagnostic mammography, breast biopsies as required. DEXA scan procedures and general x-ray’s as required. Knowledge of QC for all mammography equipment. All technologists are required for coverage at satellite offices as needed
• Assists in maintaining QA and PI functions as directed. Understands and utilizes effective infection control, such as hand washing and universal precautions
• Reviews last mammography exam in McKesson PACS and reports in mammography RIS system Consults Radiologist and/or other
• Maintains technical competency in all digital technology related to mammography services: Mammography RIS , McKesson technology
• Accesses and enters computer data for various patient and information requirements. Knowledgeable of McKesson PACS and the Mammography RIS system
• Assists physician in coordinating information, materials and supplies before, during and after exam
• Performs all other duties as assigned
• Duties as assigned and cross coverage for any other JWBC facility.
