Structural Engineer
NDI Engineering Company is seeking a Structural Engineer to support the design of US Navy test facilities. This position will be based out of our office in Thorofare, NJ.
The ideal candidate will have experience in structural design, standards, material specification, and fabrication, specifically in steel frame structures. The candidate will also have experience using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software.
Job Responsibilities
- · Develop design of steel structures with assistance from Senior Engineer.
- · Review code requirements and establish analyses criteria.
- · Develop structural arrangement models and drawings.
- · Prepare design analyses demonstrating the suitability of structures for supporting applied loads.
- · Prepare details for connections.
- · Review and check engineering drawings for use in fabrication and installation.
- · Communicate with others on the project team and with the customer’s technical personnel.
Minimum Requirements
- Must be a US citizen and able to qualify for a DoD Secret clearance.
- Must possess a Bachelor of Science in Civil/Structural Engineering degree and a minimum of 3 years of professional experience.
- Work in the NDI Thorofare office is required.
- Have strong verbal and written communications skills.
- AutoCAD or equivalent experience required; STAAD structural analysis and design software experience preferred
