Compensation: $20-25/hr - based on experience
In-person | PTO + Paid Holidays/Observe Jewish Holidays
Overview: A busy outpatient physical therapy practice is seeking a reliable, experienced Front Desk Receptionist to support daily operations. This role reports directly to the doctor and is essential in maintaining smooth scheduling, patient flow, and accurate insurance processing.
Schedule:
• Monday–Thursday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Friday: 8:00 AM – 2:00/3:00 PM (depending on sundown)
• Must have flexibility to stay until 5:00–5:30 PM when needed for late patients
Key Responsibilities:
• Greet and check in patients, ensuring a professional and welcoming experience
• Verify insurance (Medicare and major carriers) and manage eligibility checks
• Schedule and confirm appointments; create and manage new patient cases
• Communicate with therapists, aides, and the homecare division
• Maintain accurate records and ensure HIPAA compliance
• Support credentialing/onboarding of new insurance carriers
• Familiarity with NetHealth and Prompt EMR systems preferred
Qualifications:
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a healthcare front desk or medical office
• Strong knowledge of insurance verification and administrative workflow
• Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking skills
• Dependable, detail-oriented, and patient-focused
