ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION:

AEIS is a leading inspection services and materials testing company in the NY Metro area and proud to be an AWS Accredited Test Facility. With a 20,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art metallurgy lab in South Plainfield, NJ, our team works at the intersection of construction, failure analysis, welding engineering, and NDT.

We are looking for a Metallurgical Engineer for our laboratory in South Plainfield, NJ:

Responsibilities:

• Select, prepare, mount, and polish samples for analysis
• Capture high-quality images using light and scanning electron microscopes
• Perform advanced testing (EDS, tensile, radiography, etc.)
• Maintain lab equipment and ensure accurate calibration
• Document findings in clear, concise reports
• Support and guide team members as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelors in Metallurgical Engineering or Materials Science
• 25 years of hands-on lab experience
• Skilled in sample prep, microscopy, and metallurgical testing
• Strong attention to detail and safety practices
• Clear communicator with a collaborative mindset

Selection Method:
Based on evaluation of education, skills, experience, and interview.

U.S. Citizenship required(as per work requirement)

COMPENSATION:
Compensation is commensurate with experience in a similar role and includes a comprehensive benefits package. This role is an exempt, full time salaried position.
