Company:

One of New Jersey’s oldest and largest full-service law firms serving clients from Fortune 500 corporations to middle-market businesses.

Role:

This role involves legal research, document preparation, client communication, and case management to ensure efficient and accurate handling of sensitive family law matters.

Responsibilities:

• Assist attorneys in preparing legal documents, including pleadings, motions, affidavits, and settlement agreements.
• Draft and file court documents, such as petitions for divorce, custody agreements, and restraining orders.
• Conduct research on family law statutes, case law, and local court rules.
• Summarize findings to assist attorneys in case strategy and preparation.

• Schedule client meetings, mediations, and court appearances.

• Coordinate with courts, opposing counsel, and other parties to schedule hearings and mediations.

• Assist in the discovery process, including preparing interrogatories, requests for production, and deposition summaries.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in family law.
• Paralegal certification is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of family law procedures, terminology, and court rules.
• Experience with family law-specific software (e.g., Clio, MyCase).

Working Situation:

• Hybrid

Compensation/Benefits:

• Base Salary: $65-75k+, commensurate with experience.
• Additional Compensation: Annual performance-based bonus.
