Job Title: Social Worker- Early Intervention Program
Location: Sussex, Hudson, Morris, Bergen and Essex County.
Salary: $62.00-65.00 Hourly
Status: Hourly (Choose your own hours)
Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Early Intervention Social Worker to provide family-focused support and educational services to infants and toddlers (birth to age three) and their families. Services will be delivered in the child’s natural environment, in collaboration with other practitioners and service coordinators, in accordance with the child/family’s Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP).
Responsibilities:
- Conducting evaluations and ongoing assessments.
- Developing IFSP outcomes with families and service providers.
- Referring families for additional services, including therapies and medical evaluations.
- Assisting families in accessing Early Intervention and community resources.
- Completing required documentation in a timely manner.
- Collaborating with teams to monitor progress and plan future services.
- Adhering to safety protocols and maintaining confidentiality.
- Participating in training, workshops, and professional development.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of social work principles and NJ Early Intervention regulations.
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills.
- Ability to travel as needed.
Qualifications:
- Licensed or certified as a Social Worker (LSW) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) by the New Jersey Department of Law and Public Safety, Division of Consumer Affairs, Board of Social Work Examiners.
- Experience working with infants, toddlers, and children (birth to age three) with developmental delays.
- Strong understanding of child development, early intervention strategies, and individualized learning plans.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to travel within the service area for home-based sessions (if applicable).
