Heavy Construction Estimator – Cherry Hill, NJ
A well-established civil contractor in the Cherry Hill, NJ area is looking to hire an experienced Heavy Construction Estimator to support a growing pipeline of infrastructure work. This firm specializes in highway construction, site development, and large-scale heavy infrastructure projects throughout the region.
What You’ll Do:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for public and private heavy civil projects
- Analyze plans, specs, and bid documents for highways, utilities, and site work
- Perform quantity takeoffs and develop accurate pricing for labor, materials, and equipment
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor bids
- Work closely with project managers and operations teams during preconstruction
- Assist with bid strategy, value engineering, and proposal development
What We’re Looking For:
- 3+ years of estimating experience in heavy civil / infrastructure construction
- Strong background in DOT/highway, earthwork, utilities, and site development
- Proficiency with estimating software and takeoff tools
- Ability to read and interpret complex construction documents
- Strong communication and organizational skills
