Step into an exciting contract opportunity supporting students’ growth as a Special Education Math Teacher at a school located near Elizabeth, NJ. This onsite position is perfect for educators passionate about helping students reach their full academic and personal potential.

You’ll have the chance to work with a diverse caseload, providing tailored instruction and fostering a positive classroom environment. Your work will help create meaningful educational experiences for students who benefit from individualized instruction within Math curricula.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification
• Earned credits in Mathematics, or
• "Teacher of the Handicapped" certification with Math coursework
• Demonstrated experience collaborating with educational teams
• Ability to develop and implement IEPs aligned with student needs
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Previous relevant experience working with special education students strongly preferred

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver Math lessons that accommodate diverse learning styles and needs
• Create and maintain effective, engaging classroom environments for students receiving special education services
• Develop, review, and implement IEPs in partnership with parents, team members, and administrators
• Monitor academic and behavioral performance, tracking and documenting student progress
• Communicate regularly with families and support staff to maximize student achievement
• Participate in school meetings, parent conferences, and ongoing professional development

This contract runs from September to June, with a consistent 35-hour workweek and the benefit of working onsite alongside supportive colleagues focused on student success.
