Acting as a trusted advocate, you will interview clients, review medical records, and navigate Medicaid and SSI application processes to ensure patients receive the maximum benefit coverage available to them.

Responsibilities

Position Summary:

Assists hospital patients in obtaining maximum benefit coverage by completing state and federal program applications, reviewing medical records, and tracking claim approvals in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interview clients in a hospital environment to determine eligibility for Medicaid, SSI, and other state or federal benefit programs.

• Complete and process program applications, reviewing medical records to expedite benefit approvals.

• Maintain clear communication with government caseworkers and hospital personnel regarding claim statuses.

• Document client interactions and application progress across internal and hospital database systems.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED required.

• 1+ years of customer service experience, ideally within a healthcare or clinical setting.

• Knowledge of medical terminology and the ability to interpret information within medical records.

• strong written and verbal communication skills across diverse educational and socioeconomic backgrounds.

• Computer proficiency, including MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

• Preferred: Fluency in both English and Spanish.
