Location: New Jersey (Hybrid after onboarding)
Compensation: $65,000 – $95,000 base + bonus opportunity
Employment Type: Full-Time

A well-established and growing independent insurance brokerage is seeking a Commercial Lines Account Manager to support and manage a portfolio of business clients. Position Overview
The Commercial Lines Account Manager serves as a primary point of contact for clients and insurance carriers, ensuring accurate, timely service and clear communication. This role is responsible for managing a book of business, supporting renewals, handling policy changes, and helping clients understand their coverage.
Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, organization, and the ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day service needs for a book of commercial insurance clients
- Coordinate policy renewals, including gathering updated exposure data, obtaining quotes, and preparing proposals
- Process policy changes, certificates of insurance, and coverage documentation
- Review contracts and insurance requirements to ensure compliance
- Prepare and submit marketing materials when remarketing coverage is needed
- Communicate coverage details, policy changes, and billing information clearly to clients
- Identify opportunities to enhance coverage and reduce client risk
- Respond to client and internal requests in a timely, professional manner
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow established workflows and compliance procedures
- Support producers as needed, including participation in client meetings
- Contribute to client retention and overall account growth
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development
Qualifications
Required:
- Active Property & Casualty insurance license (New Jersey preferred)
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in commercial lines account management
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- High level of organization and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and agency management systems
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Experience with Applied Epic or similar systems
- Professional designations such as CISR or CIC
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary: $65,000 - $95,000 (based on experience)
