Maintenance Technician

As a Maintenance Technician at our Material Recovery Facility (MRF) Plant, you will be an essential part of a team that values safety, professional growth, and a supportive, family-friendly workplace culture. This overnight position is responsible for maintaining and repairing facility equipment to ensure efficient and reliable recycling operations. Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on facility equipment and recycling machinery to ensure optimal operation.
• Conduct regular cleaning of systems and equipment to maintain safety and efficiency standards.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues as they arise.
• Carry out preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
• Operate facility equipment, including forklifts and loaders, following all safety protocols.
• Adhere to standard operating procedures and mandated guidelines for equipment operation and maintenance.
• Promptly report any incidents or equipment malfunctions to management.
• Complete additional tasks as assigned by the MRF Plant Maintenance Manager.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age and legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Experience with mechanical repair in an industrial setting.
• Welding skills (MIG, Stick, Cutting), preferably with mechanical equipment.
• Forklift certification and ability to operate heavy equipment.
• Heavy equipment certification.
• Ability to operate a loader preferred, but not required.
• Capable of handling physical workload, including working outdoors and overnight shifts.
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed.
