Job Summary:

Our client is seeking a Workers' Compensation Legal Assistant to support attorneys with the review and management of medical records related to workers' compensation claims. This role is ideal for a healthcare professional looking to leverage their medical knowledge in a legal setting. Prior legal experience is not required, and training will be provided.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, standard business hours.

Responsibilities:

• Review and summarize medical records, treatment notes, and physician reports
• Identify injuries, diagnoses, and treatment timelines within workers' compensation cases
• Request and follow up on medical records from healthcare providers
• Organize and maintain case files and medical documentation
• Assist attorneys with case preparation and medical case analysis
• Prepare medical summaries and supporting documentation for hearings
• Support case coordination and administrative tasks as needed

Requirements:

• Healthcare background preferred (RN, LPN, Medical Assistant, Physical Therapy Aide, or similar)
• Strong understanding of medical terminology and treatment processes
• Experience reviewing or working with medical records
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer systems
