New York Nursing Job Details

• Location: Newark, NY 14513 (Wayne County)
• Healthcare Setting: Medical/Surgical Telemetry Unit (MS 2 South)
• Job Type: Locum tenens, Travel RN
• Start Date: September 22, 2025
• End Date: December 22, 2025
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Nursing Shift: 3x12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2000-$2060
• Patient Population: Adults & Geriatrics
• Average Daily Census: 15 patients
• Orientation: 16 hours

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active New York Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• At least 1 year of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records (EMR)
• Skilled in interpretation and management of cardiac dysrhythmias
• Must reside more than 75 miles from Newark, NY
• First-time travel nurses are encouraged to apply
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred

Travel RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with medical-surgical, cardiac, and stroke diagnoses
• Monitor and manage telemetry patients both remotely and on-unit
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams: Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Radiology, Social Services, Pharmacy, and more
• Float to similar medical-surgical units as needed
• Document patient care using EPIC EMR system
• Complete orientation and required modules prior to assignment start
