Pediatric Nurse Practitioner
We are seeking a full-time Pediatric Nurse Practitioner for a private pediatric outpatient practice in Plainfield, NJ. In this role, you will provide direct care to infants, children, and adolescents through routine visits, sick visits, follow-up care, and treatment planning. This position is focused on practical outpatient care, clinical decision-making, and clear communication with families.
Position Details
Position: Full-Time
Salary: $75 to $90 per hour depending on experience
Schedule:
- Tuesday: 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM
- Thursday: 10:30 AM to 6:30 PM
Responsibilities
- Perform pediatric patient assessments and review medical history
- Diagnose and treat common pediatric illnesses and conditions
- Order and interpret appropriate tests and screenings
- Develop and manage treatment plans
- Prescribe medications within scope of practice
- Provide follow-up care and monitor patient progress
- Educate parents and guardians on treatment plans and next steps
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
- Work closely with physicians and clinical staff to support patient care
- Provide preventive care and wellness guidance
Requirements
- Active NJ APRN License
- Board Certified as a PNP or FNP
- MSN or DSN required
- Experience in pediatrics or completed pediatric rotations
- Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
