Job Description

Description:

Bring fitness equipment to life for our customers

At Johnson Health Tech Retail, our goal is simple: deliver innovative fitness products, exceptional quality, and a customer experience that leaves a lasting impression. As a Delivery & Installation Technician, you’ll be one of the final and most important touchpoints in the customer experience — delivering, assembling, and setting up equipment safely, professionally, and with care.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys being on the move, working with tools, solving problems, and making sure every customer feels confident and excited about their new equipment.

How You’ll Make an Impact

In this role, you’ll help make sure products are delivered, installed, and ready to use. Responsibilities include:

  • Load delivery trucks and verify products are accurate before leaving the warehouse.
  • Deliver fitness equipment to customers’ homes, facilities, events, model homes, fairs, and other locations.
  • Assemble products safely, correctly, and efficiently so they are ready for customer use.
  • Test equipment with customers to confirm everything is working properly.
  • Complete daily vehicle inspections and follow all safety policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment using 5S standards.
  • Complete paperwork and database entries accurately and on time.
  • Safeguard company-issued fuel cards and credit cards.
  • Build positive working relationships with customers, coworkers, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Support other projects and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements:

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-minded, customer-focused, and comfortable with hands-on work. You’ll be successful in this role if you bring:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1–2 years of delivery, assembly, installation, warehouse, or customer service experience preferred.
  • A valid driver’s license.
  • The ability to successfully pass pre-employment and annual motor vehicle record checks.
  • The ability to complete DOT certification to drive on behalf of the company.
  • The ability to maintain a safe driving record and DOT medical card.
  • Must be at least 21 years old to drive company trucks interstate.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Comfort using hand tools such as screwdrivers, wrenches, and drills.
  • A professional, positive, and customer-friendly approach.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment:

This is an active, hands-on role that takes place primarily on the road and in customers’ homes or facilities, with some time spent in the warehouse. The warehouse environment may include employees and equipment working in close proximity.

Physical requirements include:

  • Frequently: lifting/carrying products up to 74 lbs.; pushing/pulling items up to 40 lbs.; repetitive wrist motion; grasping/pinching; bending at the knees and waist; twisting, turning, and pivoting.
  • Occasionally: lifting/carrying products 75–100+ lbs.; assisting with team lifts of products up to 400 lbs.; pushing/pulling items over 40 lbs.; reaching overhead or outward.
  • Regularly: sitting in a work truck for extended periods while traveling to job sites, standing/walking while on-site, wearing safety shoes with impact protection, and using proper lifting and team-lift techniques.

Why Join Johnson Health Tech?

You’ll be part of a team that helps customers bring fitness into their homes, businesses, and communities. This role is perfect for someone who likes variety, takes pride in quality work, and enjoys creating a positive final impression for customers.

  • Competitive benefits program for eligible employees, including medical, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Company-paid life insurance and AD&D for eligible employees.
  • Flexible Spending Account and Health Savings Account options, depending on plan eligibility.
