Executive Director, Ophthalmology Scientific and Life Cycle Management Strategy
- Lead the development of the overall scientific and LCM strategy for ophthalmology and ensure the commercial vision is integrated into cross-functional plans
- Lead the development of the Scientific Leader engagement strategy and plan for ophthalmology assets and ensure a complementary and coordinated approach with our company's ophthalmology portfolio
- Coordinate closely with the brand leads to ensure a seamless and coordinated Scientific Leader and Healthcare professional experience across multiple HCP segments
- Embed Scientific Leader insights into the development of all brand elements to contribute to the development of a robust launch and portfolio strategy with clear product differentiation
- Lead the development of a commercial model that optimizes the customer experience and minimizes points of friction in must-win markets
- Build and lead a team of 2 FTEs to deliver on key objectives for the ophthalmology business
- Collaborate with Regional Commercial Leaders and cross-functional partners (medical, policy, access, advocacy, etc.) to optimize the value of ophthalmology assets for the HCP segment
- Partner with our Research & Development Division's Clinical and Outcomes Research team to ensure the commercial perspective is embedded into cross-functional partner strategies and tactical plans with full alignment with portfolio priorities
- As a key leader in the Ophthalmology Franchise, this role will create organizational excitement, momentum, confidence and focus on the Ophthalmology portfolio
- Collaborate with Ophthalmology Global Marketing Colleagues to invest in each other's development, build a culture of inclusivity and challenge the status quo for the purpose of creating stronger outcomes-
- Required: Bachelor's Degree
- Preferred: Advanced Degree (MBA)
- Minimum of 12 years of progressive experience across marketing, sales, market access or related experiences in pharmaceutical or biotechnology industries and at least 3 years demonstrated in-line marketing experience required.
- I ndustry expertise in ophthalmology, with a focus on retina
- Prior launch experience preferred.

$255,800.00 - $402,700.00 This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee's position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, government requirements, and business or organizational needs. The successful candidate will be eligible for annual bonus and long-term incentive, if applicable.
