Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department (ED) team on a 13-week travel assignment. The ED is a fast-paced, 32-bed unit handling a diverse patient population, including adult and pediatric patients. Key responsibilities include managing primary stroke cases, STEMI interventions, behavioral health patients, critical care needs, equipment handling, triage, and patient assignments. This role requires strong clinical judgment, quick decision-making, and the ability to thrive in a high-acuity environment.

Contract Details

• Assignment Length : 13 weeks
• Shift Options : Flex shifts of 8:00 AM – 8:30 PM or 12:00 PM - 12:30 AM, based on unit needs.
• Schedule Requirements : Every other weekend (EOW) and every other holiday (EOH) required.

Requirements

• Experience : Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience required.
• Licensure : Active New Jersey RN License (must be in hand at the time of application).
• Certifications : BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS required.
• Flu Immunization : Mandatory unless a valid medical exemption with supporting documentation is provided.
• Scrub Policy : Any color scrubs are acceptable as long as they are clean and professional.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and pediatric patients in the ED.
• Perform triage, patient assessments, and assignments in a timely manner.
• Manage critical care patients, including those with stroke, STEMI, and behavioral health needs.
• Operate and maintain critical care equipment.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Adhere to all hospital policies, including shift flexibility and scheduling requirements.
