Material Handler/Facilities Technician

Could you be the full-time Material Handler/Facilities Technician we’re looking for?

Responsibilities

• Issues parts and tools to Technicians as needed or directed by Supervisors and Engineers.
• Performs periodic stock counts, issues and credits parts and tools and prepares proper documentation.
• Accepts material from carriers, signs for the material and loads/unloads material.
• Inspects material for damage and ensures completeness of shipments.
• Properly prepares and packages material for transport including preparing the necessary company and carrier documents.
• Initiates and completes all required documentation
• Maintains storage facilities including racks, shelves, bins and other locations.
• Performs light mechanical assembly tasks.
• Operates forklifts, pallet movers and other material handling equipment.
• Light cleaning duties
• Performs other related duties as required.

Experience

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• A combination of education and experience may be acceptable.
• Industrial stores experience is preferred.
• 2-4 years computer experience required -spreadsheets experience a plus.

Competencies & Skills

• Inventory and inventory control experience is a must.
• Must be able to work in a 24/365 work environment. Variable hours and shifts.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and a good driving record.
• Must pass 10-year background check for SIDA badging
• Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team with minimum supervision. Must have effective written and spoken communication skills.

• Work on elevated surfaces is required. Work may be performed inside the facility or outside in various weather elements
