Labor, Employment & Workplace Safety Associate Attorney – Newark, NJ

Direct Counsel is partnering with an Am Law 100 firm seeking a mid- to senior-level Associate Attorney to join its Labor, Employment & Workplace Safety (LEWS) team in Newark, New Jersey .

This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney with 4–6 years of employment and labor law experience to join a highly respected practice handling complex counseling, litigation, and transactional employment matters for major corporate clients.

• Advise employers on workplace compliance, policies, investigations, and employment-related issues.

• Represent clients in employment litigation and agency proceedings.

• Draft and negotiate employment agreements, handbooks, and separation documents.

• Support the employment aspects of M&A transactions and restructurings.

• Collaborate with senior attorneys on strategy and client development.

• 4–6 years of labor and employment law experience at a reputable firm.

• Strong writing, research, and client advisory skills.

• Experience with employment litigation and workplace investigations.

• Familiarity with M&A employment issues preferred.

• Trial experience is a plus, not required.

• Admission to practice in New Jersey .

$220,000 – $250,000 base salary , commensurate with experience and market factors.
