COLONY POOL - ASSISTANT SWIM COACH

Support the Colony Pool Swim Team and help create a competitive, positive, and development-focused summer experience for swimmers. The Assistant Coach works alongside the Head Coach to deliver quality practices, promote sportsmanship, and maintain a safe pool environment.
What You’ll Do:- Assist with swim team practices for assigned age groups
- Provide stroke instruction and skill development
- Supervise swimmers during practices and meets
- Support meet operations, timing, and team logistics
- Promote teamwork and sportsmanship
- Communicate professionally with swimmers and parents
- You have competitive swim experience and enjoy teaching skills
- You’re dependable and work well as part of a team
- You stay focused and take safety seriously
- You’re comfortable taking direction and supporting a larger program
- You’re available for evenings, weekends, and meets
- Prior competitive swimming and/or coaching experience preferred
- CPR/AED and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain)
- USA Swimming certifications if applicable
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Extended time on the pool deck
- Lifting up to 30–50 pounds
- Outdoor summer environment (heat, humidity, chemicals)
- Ability to respond quickly in emergency situations
