Software Test Engineer - Contractor
This is a 6-9 month 1099 contract opportunity with no benefits.
This Test Engineer position is responsible for being the lead in development of test methodology and test plan development supporting software and hardware verification and validation testing for a medical device, including improvements and executing. This position will lead test technicians in executing test protocols as well as documenting test fixtures and writing protocols and reports. Job Functions :
- Lead test methodology and plan development.
- Write and execute test procedures/protocols and generate reports.
- Lead test failure investigations and document deviations.
- Chair cross functional reviews for protocols, test reports and deviations.
- Evaluate requirements for testability.
- Advise and support improvements to verification and validation SOPs and tools.
- Give technical guidance to test technicians in documenting test fixtures and writing protocols and reports and addressing deviations.
- Experience with current industry practices for performing and documenting verification (ex. Jazz).
- Work in an organized and neat manner.
- Ability to communicate within his/her discipline and with others who are not as technically trained.
- Ability to work collaboratively with others and share deliverable responsibilities among a team.
- Work in a methodical manner with attention to details and follows instruction.
- Strong oral and written communication and listening skills.
Ability and willingness to travel to outside test labs to execute/support offsite lab testing.
