CNC Operator – Defense/Aerospace Manufacturing

Summary:
A well-established Defense/Aerospace manufacturer specializing in Cable Assemblies, Wire Harnesses, and various electro-mechanical products is seeking a skilled CNC Operator to join our team. This role operates under the guidance of the Engineering and Machine Shop departments and plays a vital role in supporting our manufacturing and production operations.

The CNC Operator will be responsible for using CNC Haas mills and CNC Haas lathes, as well as manual mills, lathes, and grinders to fabricate parts, fixtures, and molds. This position requires close collaboration with engineering teams and a willingness to assist with mechanical and molding processes within our cable manufacturing departments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up, operate, and monitor CNC Haas mills and lathes, along with manual machining equipment.

• Monitor cutting operations and inspect parts to ensure they meet design specifications.

• Perform precise measurements using tools such as calipers, micrometers, depth gauges, force gauges, durometers, and torque wrenches.

• Interpret and follow Manufacturing Work Instructions, Procedures, and Mechanical Drawings.

• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to support ongoing projects and production needs.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience operating CNC machines.

• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn and grow within the role.

• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and blueprints.

• Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail.
