Position Overview

The Plant Manager is responsible for the full scope of operations in Vineland, NJ bus duct and switchgear manufacturing facility. This leader will direct all production, quality, safety, maintenance, and workforce activities to ensure the plant meets its output, quality, and cost targets in alignment with standards. A strong engineering background and hands-on manufacturing leadership experience are required.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct day-to-day plant operations including production scheduling, staffing, and resource allocation for bus duct and switchgear assembly lines

• Establish and enforce safety protocols compliant with OSHA and corporate standards

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma) to reduce waste, improve throughput, and meet quality targets

• Partner with QA/QC, Maintenance, and Warehouse managers to ensure seamless plant operations

• Manage plant P monitor KPIs including OEE, scrap rate, on-time delivery, and labor efficiency

• Recruit, develop, and retain talent; build a high-performance manufacturing culture

• Coordinate with engineering and supply chain teams on product launches, design changes, and material sourcing

• Ensure compliance with UL, NEC, and applicable NEMA standards for electrical manufacturing

• Maintain productive relationships with local vendors, contractors, and regulatory agencies

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (required)

• 7+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership, with at least 3 years as a Plant Manager or equivalent

• Experience in electrical equipment manufacturing (switchgear, bus duct, panel boards, or similar) strongly preferred

• Demonstrated knowledge of Lean manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement methodologies

• Proficiency in ERP/MES systems and production reporting tools

• Excellent communication skills; able to interface with corporate, customers, and frontline employees

• Local candidates preferred (Vineland, NJ area)
