The Compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience,
We are requesting a per diem Mammography Technologist to support increased screening and diagnostic mammogram volume on Saturdays,
We currently have two possibly three Saturdays scheduled in June, and adding per diem coverage will reduce the need for overtime from weekday technologists and help us keep pace with demand in the months to follow,
Job Overview:
Performs mammography procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision in accordance to the policies and procedures of the ACC Breast Center. Exercises professional judgment in performance and patient care. Correctly utilizes the Radiology Information System to facilitate patient functions. Practices radiation protection safely routinely.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Graduate of Accredited School of Allied Health Program of Radiography
- Current license to practice in the state of New Jersey ARRT
- Registration Mammography Certification

Essential Functions:
- Reviews the requisition and prescription to ensure that the proper exam has been arrived.
- Verifies the patient name, date of birth and history, and enters all information into the Penrad.
- Performs the procedure to ensure patient comfort and safety while protection.
- Produces optimum quality films with proper positioning, technique and patient identifiers following ACR guidelines
- Completes exam in the RIS system and makes changes as needed.
- Cleans mammography equipment prior to every exam.
- Assures that images have crossed into McKesson, check for QA issues, edit procedures as necessary and close study as reviewed.
- Assumes responsibility for obtaining and maintain apporpriate number of credits for MQSA and ACR.
- Attends mandatory education and completes all assigned courses as needed.
- Maintains a neat, clean and stocked work area.
- Washes hands according to National Patient Safety Goals
- Does not demonstrate excessive absenteeism.
- Arrives at work on time and is at work station in a timely manner. participates in overtime and weekend rotation as needed
