The ideal candidate will be able to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment, adhering to the guidelines/procedures set by the school and Spur. The primary responsibilities of this position are working alongside teachers and staff in their day-to-day activities with students . Candidates are expected to represent the school and program positively and professionally. Candidates are to maintain confidentiality at all times and can maintain emotional control under stress. DUTIES:

• Provide appropriate supervision for students to ensure safety and support
• Work closely with the lead teacher / follow written and oral instruction
• Facilitate small group and one-on-one instruction
• Assist with testing and evaluation to determine student progress
• Provide enrichment and remedial assistance as required
• Setting up basic technology equipment to support classroom instructions
• Able to work on an on-call basis
• Perform related duties as assigned such as lunch duty, hall duty, or toileting assistance
• The ability to lift heavy objects 65 lbs. or more
• Performing other miscellaneous duties as assigned Requirements

• Minimum Qualifications:
  
  • Must be 21 years of age
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Pass background check
  • Complete Sexual Misconduct / Abuse Disclosure
  • Complete a Mantoux TB test (tuberculous test)
  • Ability to comply with written and/or oral instructions
  • Prior related experience working with children
• • Compensation
    
    • This position pays $18.00 per hour
    • The position schedule will be based on the school’s standard schedule.
    • Positions are ON DEMAND (picking up absences when staffed positions are absent)
