About the Position
- Shift: Days, 12‑hour shifts
- Start Date: 02/16/2026
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: 37.5 per week
Pre‑Operative
- Prepare operating room with sterile instruments, equipment, and supplies.
- Conduct pre‑op patient assessments.
- Educate patients and families on surgical procedures and expectations.
- Administer pre‑operative medications as required.
- Ensure all documentation and consents are verified.
Intra‑Operative
- Assist surgeons by passing instruments and supplies efficiently.
- Monitor and document patient vital signs.
- Maintain strict sterile field and infection‑control practices.
- Communicate effectively with the surgical team to ensure smooth workflow.
Post‑Operative
- Monitor patients during recovery from anesthesia.
- Provide immediate postoperative care and assessments.
- Educate patients/families on wound care, discharge instructions, and follow‑up.
- Record detailed surgical logs and patient care documentation.
Requirements
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of OR nursing experience
- License: Active RN license eligible for submission
- Education: BSN not required
- Certifications:
- BLS (AHA or ARC)
- ACLS (AHA or ARC)
- Charting System: EPIC
- Care Setting: Acute
- Local Candidates: Accepted
