Job DescriptionAs a Security Professional - Government Patrol in Wayne, NJ , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more .
As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment within a government location. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols throughout the premises, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and providing outstanding customer service to all visitors and staff. This position is a driving post, so you will be responsible for patrolling the area using a company vehicle, making your presence known and responding promptly to any situations that may arise. - Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
- Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
- Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
- Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
- Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
Responsibilities:
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
- Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related incidents to the appropriate personnel.
- Assist visitors and staff with directions and general information as needed.
- Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential disturbances and/or unauthorized access.
- Complete required reports and logs in a timely and accurate manner.

Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver's license in the state where the job is located is preferred for primarily driving posts.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
