A family in Watchung is looking for a responsible and engaging Nanny to care for their 5-year-old daughter. The schedule will be Monday through Thursday from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm, with flexibility for occasional date night hours. Family is also offering optional morning hours/schedule Monday to Thursday from 7:00 am to 8:45 am. Parents will be paying guaranteed hours plus any additional hours.

Duties:

Assisting with before-school duties such as getting dressed, packing backpacks, and serving breakfast. Picking the child up from school and accompanying her to after-school activities. Preparing light meals and snacks for the child. Engaging her through creative play and occasionally assisting with bath time routine. Tidying up after the child.

The ideal Nanny for this home is caring, encouraging, responsible, and engaging. They should be present with the child and have a gentle and patient yet firm personality. Help to encourage the child to do daily activities. Looking for someone who is creative, playful, and willing to work as a team with the parents but is also respectful of the parent's wishes.

About the child:

This 5-year-old is smart, energetic, and kind. She loves to play dress up, dance, enjoys imaginative play, arts and crates. Her after-school activities include gymnastics, dance class, drama club and sports. She is sensitive to loud noises and is involved in play therapy, which the Nanny may need to transport her to. At times may display hesitation with various activities.

About the parents:

This Mom is outgoing, flexible, and organized, while Dad is introverted and laid back. They implement gentle parenting techniques with their daughter and correct unwanted behavior through voice inflections as needed.
