Seeking a friendly and extroverted medical assistant for a modern podiatry office. Our practice is dedicated to providing exceptional foot care treatments.

Position Summary:

We are looking for a positive, personable and energetic person to provide assistance to the doctor. Top customer service skills should be employed to ensure that the patient experience is a positive one. We seek someone who is polite, well-spoken, courteous, compassionate, and organized, in addition to being committed to learning and growth.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Escort patients from the reception area to the exam/treatment rooms

- Perform clinical intake and add it in the EHR system

- Prepare, and assist with examinations, procedures, and treatments

- Perform a variety of treatment procedures under the direction of the physician

- Clean and sterilize equipment and maintain stock of supplies and medications

- Fill out requisition forms and send out specimens

- Perform a variety of clerical functions as assigned

This role is ideal for a candidate who enjoys both the administrative and patient-centered functions of a medical practice. Your role is to assist the patients in a manner consistent with a pleasurable clinic experience, accurate information, and a positive outcome.

- Ability to work courteously and respectfully with fellow employees, the podiatrist, and all patients
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Compassionate, friendly, and positive in person and on the phone
- Ability to multi-task in a busy environment
- Computer and tech-savvy
- Professional appearance is a must
- Maintaining customer-service orientation at all times
- Attention to detail & great organization skills
- Insurance knowledge and ability to explain services

Qualifications:

- 1-2 years prior medical experience in a similar clinical setting is preferred. Willing to train the right candidate.
- Priority will be given to candidates who have prior experience working in podiatry offices.
- Proficiency in another language is a plus.

- Must be available to work 9 AM - 7 PM on 4 workdays, as well as alternating Saturdays 9 AM - 4 PM.

Salary: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
