As a **Security Officer - Distribution Center Access Control** in **Edison, NJ** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a crucial role in helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining order within a dynamic logistics and distribution location. You will monitor entrances and exits, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to provide exceptional customer service and communication. **What You'll Do:**
+ Monitor and control access points at distribution and logistics locations to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or activity.
+ Greet and assist employees, visitors, and delivery personnel in a professional manner while following site-specific protocols.
+ Verify identification and credentials for individuals entering and exiting the premises according to site policies.
+ Conduct regular and random patrols of the premises and surrounding areas to help to deter potential security-related incidents.
+ Respond to security-related incidents and emergencies in a calm and problem-solving manner, following company and site procedures.
+ Document all access control activities, incidents, and/or irregularities in detailed reports as required by Allied Universal and site guidelines.
+ Collaborate with site management and Allied Universal supervisors to address security-related concerns and maintain open communication.
**Minimum Requirements:**
+ At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
