As a Security Officer Lobby Welcome Associate in Wayne, NJ , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Front Desk Officer in an educational location, where you will greet students, staff, and visitors, manage access control and badges, and support security-related procedures with professionalism and care. This stationary role is ideal for someone who enjoys customer service, clear communication, and using technology while working with a team that values being agile, reliable, innovative, and acting with integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service at the front desk by carrying out site-specific procedures, visitor screening practices, and security-related protocols appropriate for an educational location.
• Monitor access to the location by greeting students, staff, faculty, and visitors, verifying identification and/or credentials, and documenting entry activity in accordance with site guidelines.
• Respond to incidents, questions, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with campus contacts and/or emergency services when appropriate.
• Answer phones, manage the reception area, and assist with directions, visitor sign-in, package handling, and other front desk support duties tied to security-related operations.
• Observe activity at entry points and in the lobby area, report unusual behavior and/or conditions, and help to deter unauthorized access through attentive presence and professional communication.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
