Step into a highly impactful contract opportunity providing speech-language support to preschool learners in a vibrant school environment near Bloomfield, NJ. This role focuses on serving a diverse group of early learners, currently working with 35 individual Pre-K students—and the caseload may expand as new referrals arrive through Early Intervention.

Your expertise will help shape children’s communication skills at a pivotal stage. Beyond delivering direct therapy, you'll conduct comprehensive evaluations, develop and implement treatment plans, and actively participate in IEP meetings. Candidates with experience supporting students using augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices are strongly preferred, as you’ll harness technology to empower young learners with varied expressive needs.

This assignment is part of a maternity leave coverage, expected to continue through November, with potential for extension. If you’re passionate about early childhood communication and have strong collaboration skills, this could be an ideal contract fit.

Candidates should offer:

• Active state licensure and all required certifications for SLP in the school setting (must be submitted with application)
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
• Recent experience working with preschool or early childhood populations
• Demonstrated skill in administering assessments, treating diverse speech/language needs, and crafting IEP goals
• Familiarity with AAC devices and related technology support considered a strong asset

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct speech-language therapy to Pre-K students, both individually and as caseload grows
• Complete assessments and deliver written evaluations
• Collaboratively design and implement IEPs
• Communicate progress with parents, staff, and multidisciplinary teams
