As a Security Officer - Tech Site - Weekends in Piscataway, NJ , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you'll use our exclusive Claim a Shift platform to view and Pick up open shifts based on your availability-giving you the freedom to build a schedule that works for you, while gaining valuable site experience across various industries. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned tech and media locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing a visible presence. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies in a tech, media, and telecom location.
• Assist with emergency response activities as appropriate, following established protocols.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity, adapting to the unique environment of a tech, media, and telecom site.
• Report security-related incidents, hazards, and suspicious activity using established communication methods.
• Interact professionally with employees, visitors, and/or contractors to maintain a welcoming atmosphere while remaining alert to potential security-related concerns.
• Follow instructions from Allied Universal management and adhere to all company and client policies.
• Maintain accurate logs and/or records of activities and incidents as required by site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• Proof of high school diploma or GED is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
