Change Communications Manager
Contract to Hire, Remote (Primarily Eastern Time) Role Summary:
The Communications Manager plays a pivotal role in developing and executing communications to boost engagement and alignment. This position requires strategic insight combined with exceptional writing and execution skills to transform complex concepts into compelling messaging across various formats. The ideal candidate is highly organized, an excellent writer, proofer, and editor, adept at managing multiple tasks while consistently delivering high-quality work. Key responsibilities include crafting communication plans aligned with goals, producing materials that clarify and amplify key messages, supporting internal campaigns, and collaborating with internal partners to manage feedback and deliver integrated outputs. Core Skills & Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in communications (agency, consulting, corporate, or internal communications)
- Exceptional writing, proofing, and editing skills; adept at executive tone and concise storytelling.
- Strong project management skills, juggling multiple deliverables efficiently.
- Comfort interacting with senior stakeholders and adapting communication styles as needed.
- Strong attention to detail, format, and quality control.
- Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
- Experience driving engagement and adoption through communications.
- Exposure to executive communications and leadership visibility.
- Experience scripting for video or live events.
- Familiarity with internal communications toolkits and channel strategies.
- Experience with change communications or transformation work.
