Securitas Technology specializes in centralized installation and service for enterprise and multisite security deployments, delivering consistency and reliability for the most robust security programs. At the Securitas Technology Engineering Center of Excellence (CoE), projects are designed, engineered, and commissioned to the highest industry standards to meet our clients’ unique needs.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of engineers and engineering managers in pre- and post-sales costing and design, focusing on physical security and integrated systems.
- Conduct regular reviews of the engineering backlog to ensure timely and budget-compliant project completion.
- Perform engineering resource planning to align resources and skillsets with sales and operational targets, particularly in the areas of physical security and access control systems.
- Implement effective measures and processes for recruiting and retaining engineering staff with expertise in security technologies.
- Oversee the development and implementation of design and manufacturing standards for engineering and pre-fabrication, ensuring compliance with industry standards such as UL 294 and NFPA 731.
- Lead client tours at the Engineering Center of Excellence in Elmsford, NY, showcasing advanced security solutions and engineering capabilities.
- Establish goals and targets for engineering staff and generate reports to measure performance against these objectives.
- Oversee training programs for engineers, with a focus on the latest security technologies and industry best practices.
- Manage resource allocation on projects based on individual engineers' skill sets, particularly in areas such as video surveillance, intrusion detection, and access control.
Skills/Abilities:
- Comprehensive knowledge of design/build engineering processes and construction submittal packages, with a focus on physical security systems.
- Extensive technical expertise in engineering and physical security standards, including knowledge of IP-based security systems and cybersecurity principles.
- Superior managerial and supervisory skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Proficient in financial analysis and data interpretation.
- Exceptional resource management skills.
- Proficient in using AutoCAD, BlueBeam, and Revit design tools.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, and Microsoft Teams.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required; Master’s degree in Engineering or Business Administration preferred.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) preferred.
- Minimum of ten years of relevant experience required, with a focus on physical security and integrated systems.
