Medical Information Specialist

education: Bachelors responsibilities:
- Respond to Complex Inquiries: Develop and maintain product/disease expertise to address escalated medical information inquiries from global affiliates and call centers.
- Global Content Management: Manage the end-to-end development, approval, and maintenance of global and region-specific medical/technical documents for healthcare professionals and consumers.
- Data Synthesis: Summarize clinical literature and guidelines while assisting in the development and approval of "Data on File" to ensure medical messages are clear and appropriate.
- Compliance & Review: Provide rigorous medical review and approval of complex content, ensuring all materials meet strict regulatory and corporate requirements.
- Literature Evaluation: Critically evaluate scientific literature and interpret complex data to adapt information delivery for diverse global audiences.
- Insight Generation: Identify and report global medical information trends and insights based on incoming inquiry data to inform internal stakeholders.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with multidisciplinary teams to create core content and innovate new ways to deliver medical information to customers.
qualifications:
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree AND graduation from an accredited Nursing (RN), Physician Assistant (PA), Pharmacy (PharmD), PhD in Health Sciences, or MD/DO program.
- Communication: Mastery of oral and written English with the ability to interpret and communicate complex clinical trial methodology and statistical concepts.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced mastery of computer systems, databases, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint).
- Clinical Acumen: Strong knowledge of disease states, treatment implications, and the ability to interpret complex medical literature independently.
- Soft Skills: Must be self-motivated, highly organized, detail-oriented, and possess strong interpersonal and cultural sensitivity skills.
- Advanced Degree: Highly preferred.
- Industry Software: Experience with medical information inquiry repositories such as Veeva Vault or Salesforce.
- Specialized Writing: Proven medical writing skills.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of the legal and regulatory environment within the pharmaceutical industry.
