Manufacturing Process Technician
The Manufacturing Process Technician maintains and improves manufacturing production lines assuring that all workstations comply with Humanscale’s ergonomic and safety principles. Using knowledge and tools in the machine shop to create fixtures that ease manufacturing process es and ensure production goals satisfied.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Coordinate and implement layout changes for new and existing lines
• Perform mechanical assembly and fabrication of ergonomic and safe production workstations, material flow racks, and lines by working with Manufacturing Engineering
• Maintain and improve existing workstations and perform monthly audits to document repairs.
• Design tooling and fixtures for manufacturing by collaborating with engineering teams.
• Works with Manufacturing Engineers in the installation, qualification, and validation of new production lines.
• Determines parts and tools needed in order to achieve manufacturing goals according to product specifications.
• Read mechanical drawings and electronic schematics to ensure product specifications and tolerances are met.
• Equipment programming and setup for manufacturing to ensure product specifications are met. (as needed)
• Support Maintenance Team
• Observes safety and security procedures; reports potentially unsafe conditions.
• Performs other work-related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Work with minimum supervision.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills
• Good verbal, written, and communication skills with the ability to communicate engineering concepts to non-engineers.
• Ability to lift 60 pounds.
• Must be able to do repetitive bending and stretching.
• Experience using heavy machinery (CNC, saw machines, lathes, and soldering equipment) preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.
