Senior software developer engineer
United Parcel Service General Services Co. seeks Senior Software Developer Engineer in Parsippany, NJ:Job Duties: Design, develop, maintain, test, and evaluate computer software that provide business capabilities, solutions, and/or product suites. Provide systems life cycle management (e.g., analyses, technical requirements, design, coding, testing, implementation of systems and applications software, etc.) to ensure delivery of technical solutions is on time and within budget. Research and support the integration of emerging technologies. Provide knowledge and support for applications' development, integration, and maintenance. Develop program logic for new applications or analyze and modify logic in existing applications. Analyze requirements, test, and integrate application components. Defines application complexity drivers, estimates development efforts, creates milestones and/or timelines, and tracks progress towards completion. Test and maintain software applications and related programs and procedures by using a variety of software development tools, following customer design requirements. Telecommuting is permitted. Travel to UPS offices is required 25% of the time.Minimum Requirements: Master's degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering (any field), or a related quantitative discipline, and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or in any occupation in related field.Special Skill Requirements: (1) Technology Architecture; (2) Solution Designing; (3) WEB Development; (4) Technology & IT Innovation; (5) DevOps Engineering; (6) OpenShift; (7) Lean Agile; (8) Jenkins; (9) Apigee; (10) OAuth2.0; (11) IaaS; and (12) PaaS. Any suitable combination of education, training and/or experience is acceptable. Telecommuting is permitted.
