Job Requirements / Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state requirements apply — New Jersey licensure or compact RN may be required)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Current BCLS (AHA) and ACLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a Cardiovascular Lab performing cardiac procedures or equivalent Critical Care experience
- Experience as a Cath Lab RN, Cardiac Cath Lab nurse, or cardiovascular nurse preferred
- Ability to complete required onboarding health screenings, documentation, and credentialing for travel nursing
Responsibilities — Cath Lab RN / Cardiac Cath Lab Nurse
- Provide direct patient care to adult and geriatric patients in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab
- Monitor physiologic and hemodynamic data during diagnostic and therapeutic cardiac procedures
- Record and continuously communicate patient condition to physicians and the cardiovascular team
- Assess procedure room and equipment readiness and assist with maintenance and inventory
- Obtain supplies for individual cases and ensure the Cardiovascular Laboratory team's needs are met
- Address psychosocial, physical, and peri-procedural care needs in the surgical environment
- Participate in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement (CQI) activities related to Cath Lab nursing
