Contracts Specialist

Responsibilities
- Review clinical trial protocols and develop investigator-specific budgets and site contracts for North American Clinical Operations.
- Coordinate with Trial Managers to plan site contract negotiations aligned with trial startup timelines.
- Negotiate contracts directly with clinical sites in accordance with established policies.
- Ensure compliance of contracts with Fair Market Value (FMV) principles and guidelines.
- Escalate issues for approval as necessary and communicate policies effectively.
- Research complex legal and business issues related to budgets and contracts and provide informed recommendations.
- Maintain and support guidelines, training programs, and procedures related to clinical trial contracts and budgets.
- Provide project direction to Clinical Finance and Operations Sr. Associates and facilitate effective site relations.
- Utilize current systems to support budget development, reporting, and tracking; participate in budget challenge meetings.
- Ensure compliance and quality in CATS reporting and participate actively in local/global project teams.
- Attend meetings, forums, conferences, and scientific events as necessary.
- Lead and support departmental initiatives, participate in cross-functional teams, and contribute to continuous improvement processes.
- Conduct oneself in accordance with project team expectations to ensure the success of a matrix management structure.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in clinical trial contracts or related responsibilities.
- Experience in Clinical Trial Contracts within CRO or Pharma environments.
- Strong negotiating skills and Fair Market Value experience.
- Solid understanding of budget review processes for site contracts.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Degree: BA, BS.
- Experience in processing amendments and negotiating budget/payment terms.
