Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, performing dental cleanings, and assisting in various dental procedures. This role requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, patient assessment, and infection control protocols. The Dental Hygienist will work closely with the dental team to ensure optimal patient outcomes in a friendly and professional environment.

This position is currently available on a temporary basis from Tuesday to Friday, with the potential to transition into a full-time role.

Duties

• Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations for patients of all ages, including pediatric patients.
• Perform patient assessments and document findings in accordance with HIPAA regulations and practice protocols.
• Take and review medical imaging, including X-rays, to assist the dentist in diagnosis and treatment planning.
• Monitor vital signs and maintain accurate medical records for each patient visit.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to aseptic techniques and infection control standards.
• Collaborate with the dental team to ensure seamless patient care and enhance overall clinic efficiency.

Skills

• Required Skills & Qualifications
• Proficiency in Open Dental software for patient management and documentation.
• Familiarity with dental coding, electronic medical records (EMR) systems, and documentation review processes.
• Strong knowledge of dental anatomy and general dentistry principles.
• Excellent communication skills, with a patient-centered approach to care and education.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Dental Hygienist.
