Data Engineer
- Ingest & transform trial balance data from various sources (CSV, Excel, ERP extract, database).
- Apply chart of accounts mappings, including entity-specific variations.
- Utilize purpose-built applications to aggregate outputs into Income Statement & Balance Sheet formats.
- Build repeatable Alteryx workflows, SQL transformations, and Python scripts for automation.
- Perform data reconciliation, tie‑outs, variance checks, and data quality controls across entities and periods.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, Python and Alteryx.
- Hands-on experience in accounting database development, data engineering and analytics
- Accounting fundamentals: trial balance, chart of accounts, journal entries, Income Statement & Balance Sheet.
- Experience converting ledger-level data into financial statements and performing reconciliations.
- Strong communication skills and client-facing experience; ability to work onsite when required.
- Experience with cloud environments (Azure).
- Exposure to M&A/Deal Advisory workflows: multi-entity consolidation, intercompany eliminations, pro forma reporting.
- Proficiency with Power BI reporting and validation dashboards.
- ERP familiarity (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Big-4 or top tier Professional Services experience is a plus.
