Senior Tax Accountant

Opportunity for a driven entrepreneurial minded professional with partnership aspirations. Our client is a regional firm that that has successfully combined tradition tax compliance and planning with a robust wealth management practice, becoming the leading trusted adviser to businesses and high net worth clients for decades. They are seeking a professional with at least 3 years of accounting, and business and personal income tax compliance and planning experience along with strong interpersonal skills and a client service mind set to join their growing practice.

What you will do:

• Develop relationships with firm clients acting as their trusted adviser on all accounting, tax compliance and planning for businesses and individuals.
• Interview clients to develop a deep understanding of their overall tax and financial makeup, and goals and work with the Financial Planning Team to develop a comprehensive business, tax and wealth management strategy.
• Lead business and personal income tax compliance, strategy and planning for clients.
• Prepare and review financial statements.
• Partner with the firm's wealth management team to develop and suggest wealth management strategies.
• Lead and develop junior team members.
• Lead communications with both clients, and federal (IRS), state and local tax officials.
• Network and develop relationships to promote firm awareness and drive practice growth.

What's required:

3+ years of accounting, business and personal income tax compliance and planning experience with exposure to complex tax issues.

A CPA is required

Strong presentation and communication skills

A desire to develop new relationships and help grow the firm
