AI Adoption & Business Transformation Specialist
About Five Rivers IT

We empower organizations to leverage technology for growth, efficiency, and innovation. As AI continues to reshape how businesses operate, we are expanding our capabilities to help both our internal teams and our clients identify, design, and implement practical AI-driven improvements that deliver measurable business value.
Role Overview
We are seeking an AI Adoption & Business Transformation Specialist to help our business and clients effectively leverage artificial intelligence across operations. This role bridges business strategy and technical execution, translating business requirements and processes into practical, AI-driven solutions that deliver measurable value. You will partner with stakeholders to understand goals, workflows, and pain points; identify opportunities where AI and automation can improve efficiency and outcomes; and support implementation, change management, and ongoing optimization.
This role is ideal for someone who can turn AI concepts into clear use cases, coordinate delivery with technical teams or vendors, and drive successful user adoption through strong communication and structured execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for staff seeking guidance on AI tool usage, workflow integration, and best practices across the organization
- Design and deliver hands-on training programs for both technical and non-technical users, helping teams move from basic AI familiarity to confident, productive use
- Partner with business units to identify, scope, and implement practical AI solutions that solve real day-to-day problems — not just proof of concepts
- Enable and support agentic AI workflows where the AI autonomously executes multi-step tasks — such as organizing files, managing documents, and completing structured work across desktop applications — reducing manual effort for end users
- Guide teams in the use of AI plugins embedded directly into everyday tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, and legal applications, helping staff get value from AI without leaving the applications they already work in
- Define guardrails and approval workflows for agentic tasks to ensure human oversight is maintained where decisions carry meaningful business or operational risk
- Champion responsible AI use by embedding awareness of data handling, output review, and policy compliance into every enablement activity
- Track adoption, gather user feedback, and continuously iterate on training and resources to improve the end-user experience over time
- Collaborate with technical teams or vendors to implement AI-driven solutions.
- Support change management, user adoption, and ongoing optimization of AI initiatives.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated understanding of business processes and operational workflows.
- Practical knowledge of AI, machine learning, automation, and data-driven tools.
- Ability to translate complex business needs into tactical, implementable AI solutions.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience driving digital or AI-led transformation initiatives is a plus.
- Certifications in AI, data science, or project management are preferred but not required.
- Experience with workshop facilitation, stakeholder management, and change enablement across complex organizations.
Technical & Functional Skills
- Familiarity with AI and automation concepts (e.g., RAG frameworks, GenAI use cases, intelligent automation, data governance).
- Proficiency in documenting business processes and requirements.
- Understanding of compliance, data privacy, and regulatory frameworks affecting AI adoption in financial institutions.
Soft Skills
- Strong communication and facilitation skills with the ability to engage senior stakeholders and translate strategy into action.
- Analytical and structured thinking with problem-solving orientation.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple workstreams.
- This is a Full-Time position.
- All standard benefits are included such as medical/dental/vision insurance and vacation time.
- We encourage and reward professional certifications.
- Salary will be based on experience. Please send your resume with the expected salary. Applications lacking expected salary will not be considered.
- You will be placed at our Fair Lawn, NJ office. Please do not apply if you are not local or are not willing to relocate.
- Compensation for AI Adoption & Business Transformation Specialist will range from $100,000 to $150,000 based on experience, if your experience falls outside required ranges compensation may be based on other open roles.
