Outside Sales Representative
The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for driving revenue growth by developing and executing innovative sales strategies while building strong, long-term customer relationships. This role sells Liberty Recycling’s construction, aggregates, waste, and recycling products and services across an assigned territory covering Middlesex, Mercer, Burlington, Camden, and Gloucester Counties. The Outside Sales Representative works primarily in the field and reports directly to the Director of Sales – Construction & Aggregates.
Essential Functions
- Drive company revenue by developing, managing, and expanding relationships with customers to understand and fulfill waste, recycling, construction, and aggregate service needs
- Identify and pursue new customers and market opportunities while leveraging existing customer relationships to generate incremental business
- Manage the assigned sales territory by developing and executing a territory plan to achieve and exceed revenue targets
- Conduct face-to-face sales meetings and site visits with prospective and existing customers
- Educate customers on Liberty Recycling’s products, services, and value-added solutions and how they benefit customer operations
- Prepare pricing, proposals, and sales agreements and negotiate pricing and contract terms within approved guidelines
- Monitor market conditions, competitive activity, and customer trends within the assigned territory
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer, prospect, and lead activity records within the company CRM
- Maintain organized contact lists and conduct timely follow-up with customers to strengthen and grow relationships
- Collaborate with internal operations, dispatch, and leadership teams to ensure customer satisfaction and operational alignment
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age and legally eligible to work in the United States
- Associate’s Degree in Business Administration or a related field preferred, but not required
- Minimum of 1 year of outside sales experience
- Customer service experience with a proven ability to build and maintain client relationships
- Valid driver’s license and the ability to travel extensively throughout the assigned territory
- Strong technical and computer skills, including experience with Salesforce, AMCS, and Microsoft Office
- Ambitious self-starter with the ability to work independently and professionally in a dynamic, collaborative team environment
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple assignments, meet deadlines, and work with minimal supervision
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet business and customer needs
