The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.

Job Overview:

The Dispatcher-EMT is responsible for answering 9-1-1 telephone calls and other telephone calls, screening them according to the International Academies of Emergency Dispatch IAED ProQA system and dispatching the appropriate resources.

The Dispatcher-EMT will utilize a Computer Aided Dispatch system, radio communications system, and telephone system to communicate with units in the field, update their status on assignment, and ensure the safety of all personnel.

Education and Cert Requirements:

• Candidate must have a High School Diploma
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must be able to provide an AHA CPR Card/ American Heart Association BLS for a Healthcare Provider.
• If a candidate does not possess an AHA CPR card at the time of the offer, they are required to work with the Mobile Health Training Center to attend the CPR course and provide the card to the onboarding team to be cleared to start.

Education and Cert Requirements within 3 to 6 months:

• APCO BTC or State approved equivalent within 90 days
• IAED EMD within 90 days
• ICS-200 within 6 months of employment

Other Job Requirements:

• Driver’s license record check and criminal background check
• Prefer one year of dispatch experience with another public safety agency.
• Applicants will be required to submit to a medical examination, drug testing, TB testing or Hepatitis vaccinations prior to and during employment at the expense of RWJBH Corporate Care.
