The Mission of This Role:

Ensure the meticulous accuracy and timely communication of financial data and numbers, enabling informed financial decisions and strategic growth for the organization. The Accounting Director will play a crucial role in maintaining financial integrity and supporting the company's financial position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain financial statements including General Ledger (GL), Balance Sheet, and Cashflow.
  

• Manage Accounts Payable (AP), including verifying payment documentation, referencing outstanding bills, updating debt balance, and disbursement payment
  

• Manage Accounts Receivable (AR), including customer invoice data entry and reconciliation.
  

• Conduct month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes to ensure completeness, accuracy, and cohesiveness of financial information.
  

• Perform inventory accounting and reconciliation with operations and 3rd party logistics reporting
  

• Maintain fixed asset ledger and calculate depreciation.
  

• Prepare sales tax data and develop working papers.
  

• Other duties as assigned
  

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or a similar field.
  

• Strong understanding of GAAP.
  

• Five or more years of corporate accounting experience.
  

• 2+ years in an assistant controller or similar role for a $50+ MM company
  

• Experience in bookkeeping and accounting for multi-unit food producer, importer, and/or distributor organizations, including AR/AP and payroll.
  

• Thorough knowledge of accounting and corporate finance principles and procedures.
  

• Personal integrity and ability to keep customer and company confidences.
  

• Experience in audit is a plus.
  

• Working knowledge of accounting software platforms.
  

• Strong command of details and deadlines.
  

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
  

• Salary range: $100,000-$160,000 plus bonus
